Meurer & Associates Joins Kennedy/Jenks Consultants
Throughout the firm’s history, we have focused on delivering client satisfaction through projects that have been distinguished by their quality, innovation, professionalism, and teamwork. The Meurer name has been linked to Colorado engineering since 1954, when Malcolm and Charles Meurer along with Max Serafini bought an engineering practice in Denver. Our vision has been to consistently exceed our clients’ expectations by committing our attention to clearly understanding the clients’ needs and focusing on project completion, coordination, and communication In 1978, Malcolm’s sons Gordon and Douglas founded Meurer & Associates with Bob Bates. Meurer & Associates has served the Colorado community with engineering solutions in the areas of water, wastewater, infrastructure rehabilitation, alternative water systems, site design, program management, construction management, operations and maintenance for special district and municipal clients. We are known for our work for special districts, but we have also worked with municipalities, industries, and private developers. Sharing Common Values Kennedy/Jenks Consultants has a similar client focus and a long history of providing innovative engineering solutions that exceed client expectations. Founded in San Francisco in 1919 by Clyde C. Kennedy, Kennedy/Jenks Consultants has been led by the Kennedy family for three generations. Clyde’s sons, Richard and Robert Kennedy, ran the practice beginning in 1952. David Kennedy, the third generation to join the firm, served as President/CEO of Kennedy/Jenks Consultants from 1979 until he changed roles in June 2006. David Kennedy remains active in the firm as Senior Principal. Co-founder Harry Jenks left a professorship to open an engineering practice in 1933. During his lifetime, Jenks patented a number of new processes to treat water and wastewater. His son, John Jenks, joined his father in 1948 and later led the firm. Jenks joined practices with Kennedy Engineers in 1980 to form Kennedy/Jenks Engineers. John Jenks serves selected clients as a Senior Principal and is semi-retired. The Kennedy/Jenks legacy is based on almost 90 years of engineering excellence, innovation, integrity, and personalized client service.
