Autumn Sage Development Castle Oaks Development Castle Rock, Colorado From the conceptual planning stage in 2000, Meurer & Associates has performed master planning, service plan development and design, and construction coordination for the major water and wastewater infrastructures needed for the Castle Oaks Development. Castle Oaks will ultimately consist of approximately 2,500 residential units, commercial property, and public use, and is located in the northeast service area of the Town of Castle Rock. Major infrastructure facilities designed by Meurer & Associates included a sewage lift station with 250 Hp capable of pumping 1,500 gpm at 400 feet of head, 10,000 feet of 12-inch force main, and approximately 9,000 feet of 15-inch and 18-inch sewer outfalls. East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District Meurer & Associates operated as the program manager for East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District’s Western water line and pump station consisting of approximately 13.5 miles of 48-inch and 54-inch steel pipe, a booster pump station with three 1,500 Hp pumps. As program manager, Meurer & Associates consulted with the District and the design engineer, Camp, Dressor & McKee (CDM) on design criteria, confirming operating methods with the District and reviewing the design for conformance to District standards. Additionally, Meurer & Associates assisted in resolving construction related, technical and cost issues. The design and construction schedule was monitored and agency coordination was executed. Lakehurst Water and Sanitation District As the program manager, Meurer & Associates performed the design and construction administration services and the preparation of the hydraulic analysis and coordination of all approvals. The project involved the replacement of a 27-inch main with approximately 9,600 feet of 16-inch pipe, a long bore and casing through Kipling Parkway, construction in landscaping, streetscape and high-traffic roads. It was constructed in phases and carefully coordinated due to multiple connections to existing subdivisions, involving extensive coordination with utility companies to identify conflicts and to determine the least disruptive crossings. Pleasant View Water and Sanitation District With the opening of the Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood, Colorado, Pleasant View Water and Sanitation District initiated a capacity evaluation of its existing infrastructure. As a result of the evaluation, Pleasant View retained Meurer & Associates to develop and implement strategies for replacement of their undersized and aging sewer outfall. Meurer & Associates performed design and construction administration services, as well as preparation of the capacity analysis and coordination of the DRCOG and CDPHE site approvals. The project involved the replacement of the existing 15-inch outfall with approximately 12,000 feet of 24-inch pipe located in easements and existing right-of-way across multiple jurisdictions. |
